How long have you been in the custom tie business

We have been in the custom-made garments for two generations, more than 35 years. We have revolutionised our business model, making available our design capabilities to you – the real designer, anytime and anywhere!

WHAT IS YOUR COMPANY BACKGROUND?

Tie Creators is a family based business in Birmingham, UK, with over 35 years of experience in designing and manufacturing bespoke garments. We have the experience and expertise to create custom ties, scarves and sleeves at great prices and within short timescales.

WHAT ARE CUSTOMISED PRODUCTS?

A custom product simply means that you design your tie or scarf just as you want, no compromises. Choose a design, apply colours, add logos and then select your size & quantity.

CAN I ORDER A READY-MADE PRODUCT OFF THE SHELF?

No – we are a “made to order” company so all of our products are made exactly to your design and size specifications.

HOW ARE YOU ABLE TO OFFER QUANTITIES FROM ONE AT SUCH AFFORDABLE PRICES?

Tie Creators are able to offer affordable prices because you are the designer. This coupled with the right business model allows you to enjoy our high quality custom ties, scarves and sleeves at competitive prices.

HOW MANY DESIGNS CAN I HAVE IN A SINGLE ORDER?

Our prices are generally based on total order quantity. You may choose different fastenings and weaves all in one order. On occasion, some different designs can be considered in the same order.

WHAT’S YOUR MINIMUM ORDER QUANTITY?

There is no minimum order quantity across the tie product range.

For scarves, the minimum order quantity is determined by the manufacturing process, these are:

You can order from a single quantity to thousands. The price is always based on your total order quantity – regardless of how many different designs and sizes you choose.

DO YOU OFFER LARGE QUANTITIES?

We can fulfil any order size. We offer wholesale prices & a white label service.

DO I HAVE TO PAY A SET-UP FEE?

No. We can’t charge you a set-up fee – after all, you are the designer!

ARE TAXES INCLUDED IN THE PRICE?

For European customers taxes are included in the price – this is based on UK VAT rate.

DO I HAVE TO PAY EXTRA FOR ANYTHING ON MY PRODUCTS?

No, there are no hidden extras – our pricing is transparent. You can see you total price when you add your customised products to your basket.

CAN I PAY BY BACS or CHEQUE?

Yes, please design and save your product in your basket. Then, contact us and we’ll process the order for you.

CAN I ‘SEE AND FEEL’ THE QUALITY AND FABRIC?

Of course, just request a sample from the ‘Request a Sample’ page. We will send you a sample or swatch straight away.

IS THE LOGO Woven INTO MY CUSTOMISED PRODUCT?

Yes, the logo & your full design & colours are all woven together to create your woven tie.

IS THE TEXT WOVEN INTO MY CUSTOMISED PRODUCT?

Yes, the text is woven into the tie at the time of manufacture. All elements of your design: colours, pattern, logo, and text are woven into the fabric at source. For printed ties and scarves, the logo & full design is specially incorporated into the fabric at the time of manufacture.

IS THE LOGO POSITION FIXED?

If you select a tie design with a predetermined logo or text position (such as bottom right, centre logo) then we will always use this as the central point for applying your chosen logo. If you want to apply a logo position outside of the predetermined positions, please contact us.

WHAT LOGO FILE FORMATS SHOULD I USE?

With our Design Studio, you can upload your logo in .png, .jpeg, .ai file formats. If your logo has a white background, we can remove that for you. Create your design & get in touch & we can make any alterations. You can also submit a note when placing your order.

CAN YOU HELP TIDY UP MY LOGO / IMAGE?

Yes, we can translate a low-resolution image into a Vector file used in manufacturing.

If you want to keep your image for future projects, we will email a high-resolution image back you within 3 working days, all for £20.00.

WHAT ARE YOUR DELIVERY TIMES?

Let us know when your event is, and we will prioritise to meet your timescales.

Typical delivery times for each product are listed below, for mainland UK. For orders outside of mainland UK, please add 2-3 days.

HOW ARE YOU ABLE TO GET MY PRODUCTS TO ME SO QUICKLY?

We have in-house designers and manufacturing capabilities, so we prioritise our work to fit your event schedule.

DO I NEED TO PAY FOR STANDARD DELIVERY?

There is a nominal postage and packaging charge.

DO YOU HAVE AN EXPRESS DELIVERY AND WHAT IS THE CHARGE?

Yes, Express Delivery to the UK is available for an additional charge. If you have a more urgent time frame, please contact us and we will try to help you.

ARE THERE ANY INTERNATIONAL DELIVERY CHARGES?

Yes. A charge is applied based on approximate weight of your package and which country we are shipping to.

HOW DO I KNOW MY ORDER HAS BEEN PROCESSED?

You will receive a confirmation email from us shortly after your transaction completes, to acknowledge your order. If you do not receive this email within 24 hours, please contact us.

HOW LONG DO I HAVE TO WAIT FOR MY CUSTOM PRODUCTS?

With the best production facilities available today, we aim to fulfil your order as per your delivery option, standard (4 weeks) or express (3 weeks). We require your approval of a Final Production Sheet before we begin manufacturing.

CAN I GET A SAMPLE OF MY DESIGN?

As your tie / scarf is custom manufactured, a sample can only be made by placing an order for a single quantity. Alternatively, once an order is placed, we are able to show you an image of a swatch for approval.

WHEN I RECEIVE MY TIES, WILL THE COLOURS BE EXACTLY AS THEY ARE DISPLAYED ON THE SCREEN?

Each screen resolution is different so there is a chance that the colours may vary slightly. For your assurance our threads are matched to Pantone codes.

In some instances we can weave a small swatch for review of the colours and logos at a small charge.

MAY I REQUEST A COLOUR THAT IS NOT IN YOUR DESIGN STUDIO?

Our palette online is a subset of colours available in our database.

If you require a colour that is not on our palette, get in touch with us. Our threads are matched to the Pantone codes. You can also send us a swatch of a colour you require and we will match it for you.

WHAT SIZES ARE AVAILABLE iN YOUR TIES AND SCARVES?

For woven, printed ties we have different sizes – adults, youths and child.

For woven and printed scarves we have different sizes – long, regular and petite.

WHAT IS THE MANUFACTURING PROCESS FOR MY SCARF?

We have three manufacturing processes, a digital print & dry and a wet dye application to the fabric.

  1. For the digital print, we print your design directly to a micro-polyester chiffon material – this option has no design limitations
  2. For the dry dye manufacturing process, we will translate your design perfectly, and then using the latest technology apply dyes to the fabric. The fabric is then pressed for a perfect finish. This process allows unlimited colours, shading and design intricacy.
  3. For the wet dye manufacturing process, your design is translated into constituent individual colours and each sequentially applied to the fabric. We then wash, steam and press the fabric to get a perfect finish. This design is best with no more than five colours.

WHICH DIFFERENT FABRICS CAN I CHOOSE FOR MY SCARF?

Our neck scarves and head scarves are available in 4 fine fabrics:

  1. Polyester Georgette – a polyester woven textile that is lightweight with a crinkly and sheer texture. The twisted crepe fibres give a springy quality that gives the fabric a lively, flowing look.
  2. Cotton – a soft, lightweight casual look. Popular for its ability to be laundered and its durability. Sewn with a machine finished hem.
  3. Polyester – a flat, woven, strong fabric that holds colour well. Very durable, soft touch, and flowing.
  4. 4. Silk – A very fine flowing fabric that holds colour vibrantly and allows optimum clarity on designs of logo and patterns through a highly specialized wet dying process.

I’VE ALREADY GOT MY PERFECT TIE, CAN YOU RECREATE IT FOR ME?

Yes. Simply, send us your tie and our experts will manufacture as many as you’d like! We are also happy to create any variance to your original tie.

CAN I USE A RECENTLY CREATED TIE FROM YOUR WEBSITE FOR MY DESIGN?

Yes, contact us and we will send you the design name and specifications used.

CAN I CHOOSE A TIE OR SCARF DESIGN I SEE ON YOUR WEBSITE?

Yes, all the designs on the website have been created by customers. We can make the design available for further design changes.

DO YOU HAVE SOME ADVICE TO HELP ME DESIGN MY TIE OR SCARF?

Yes, contact us directly if you need any help creating a design. This can be an idea you or something more detailed.

ARE ALL MY DETAILS KEPT SECURE?

When you order online at Tie Creators, your credit card details are handled electronically – no human contact is involved. We do not access or store your bank or credit card information. Online payment processing are handled by PayPal or Sage, who guarantee your account safety.

We will never forward your personal details to anyone or any source.

WE HOPE YOU WON’T NEED TO RETURN YOUR TIE, BUT IF YOU DO?

If you return a tie to us because you consider it defective. We will examine the returned tie and notify you if you are entitled to a refund, via e-mail, within a reasonable period. We will usually process any refund due within 30 days. We will refund the price of a defective tie in full, any paid delivery charges and any reasonable costs you incur in returning the item to us. Funds will be returned usually in the same method as your original purchase.
